Welcome to Astrologam. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store,

and protect your personal information when you use our Android application. By

using Astrologam, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect only the information necessary to provide astrology features,

personalized birth charts, and consultation services.

1.1 Account & Identity Information

- Name (provided by Google Sign-In or entered by you)

- Email address (from your Google account)

- Contact / phone number (optional, entered in Settings)

- Google account ID (used as a unique user identifier)

1.2 Jathagam (Birth Chart) Data

- Full name of the person whose chart is being created

- Date, time, and place of birth (city / location name)

- Gender

- Notes you add to a profile

Note: Birth chart profiles may contain information about people other than

the signed-in user (e.g., family members). Please ensure you have their

consent before creating profiles on their behalf.

1.3 Booking & Consultation Data

- Booking requests submitted to astrologers

- Consultation notes and responses

- Subscription plan status

- Order history

1.4 Usage & Technical Data

- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device token (for push notifications)

- Reminder settings and alarm schedules

- In-app contact / support query messages

- App crash reports (no personally identifiable information included)

- Language and display preferences

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

- To authenticate you securely via Google Sign-In.

- To generate and display your Jathagam, Panchangam, Karakathuvam,

Ashtakavargam, and Yogam analyses.

- To manage multiple birth chart profiles you create within the app.

- To process astrologer booking requests and consultations.

- To send astrological reminders and push notifications you have enabled.

- To generate WhatsApp-shareable Panchangam images that include your contact

number (only when you initiate sharing).

- To respond to contact / support queries you submit in-app.

- To manage your astrologer subscription and order history.

- To improve app stability through anonymous crash reporting.

3. APP PERMISSIONS

INTERNET

Connect to Firebase Firestore, authentication services, and cloud sync.

POST_NOTIFICATIONS

Send astrological reminders and push notification alerts to your device

(required on Android 13+).

SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM

Schedule precise astrological reminder alarms at user-specified times

(Android 12+).

USE_EXACT_ALARM

Fallback exact alarm permission for Android 13+ devices.

RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED

Reschedule your reminders after a device reboot so they are never lost.

We do NOT request access to your camera, microphone, contacts list, precise GPS

location, or device storage. Birth place is entered as a city name only —

no GPS coordinates are collected.

4. DATA STORAGE & SECURITY

All user data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore (managed by Google LLC),

protected by Firebase Security Rules that restrict access to each user's own

data only.

- All data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS / TLS.

- Data at rest is encrypted by Google's Firebase infrastructure.

- Clear-text traffic is disabled in the app.

- We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

- We do not use your data for advertising or behavioural tracking.

- We do not share your birth chart data with astrologers without your

explicit booking request.

5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

5.1 Google Firebase (by Google LLC)

- Firebase Authentication — Google Sign-In for secure account access.

- Cloud Firestore — Stores profiles, birth charts, bookings, and notes.

- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — Delivers push notifications.

5.2 Google Sign-In

Used for authentication only. We receive your name, email, and Google account

ID. We do not access Google Drive, Gmail, contacts, or other Google services.

6. DATA RETENTION

7. YOUR RIGHTS

Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

Correction — Update your profile information in Settings.

Deletion — Request account and data deletion (processed within 30 days).

Withdraw — Revoke notification permissions via Android system settings.

Portability — Request an export of your data in a machine-readable format.

To request deletion or export: email us (Section 10) with subject "Data Request"

and your registered email address.

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Astrologam is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect

information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted data,

When creating birth charts for minors, the parent or guardian is responsible

for providing consent to store that information.

9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or law.

Significant changes will be communicated through the app or via the effective

date update at the top of this page.
